Bridge Street Re-Imagining Task Force

The Bridge Street Re-imagining Task Force is working with a team of consultants from SHIFT Landscape Architecture to develop a Streetscape Plan for Bridge Street, spanning from Rolph Street to Lisgar Avenue. 

The Task Force is currently seeking input from Tillsonburg residents on a potential long-term vision and streetscape plan.  Public information sessions were held on October 7, 2023 and April 17, 2024.

Mandate

The Task Force is a community-based committee (not a Committee of Council) that has been tasked with re-imagining Bridge Street’s streetscape, to develop a Streetscape Plan for the Bridge Street Right-of-Way and adjacent municipally-owned properties. The Task Force is not tasked with any private developments on Bridge Street such as the StationView Development Project.

The Bridge Street Re-Imagining Task Force consists of members from area businesses, community partners, property owners, and Town of Tillsonburg staff.

Public Sessions

Tillsonburg residents are invited to participate in the process by sharing their vision for Bridge Street to help re-imagine future ways that Bridge Street’s streetscape can be enhanced while ensuring a safe and leisurely pedestrian and traffic flow.

Streetscape Plan

A conceptual Streetscape Plan has been developed by Shift Landscape Architecture with input from the Task Force and the October 2023 public information session and we are looking for feedback from Tillsonburg residents. The Streetscape Plan will evolve as feedback like yours is incorporated to ensure the project responds to the needs of our community.
