Emergency food assistance 

There are a number of organizations in Tillsonburg that provide assistance for people in immediate need of food.

Meal Programs

Upper Deck Youth Centre
19 Queen Street 

  • Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Drop in meal; no appointment necessary.
  • Access to free food and clothing items

Faith Presbyterian Church
101 Bidwell Street

  • Fridays
  • Volunteers welcome guests at 5:00 p.m. for refreshments and conversations.
  • At 6:00 p.m. a time of prayer, Scripture reading, and devotion begins; a hearty meal prepared by volunteers follows.

  • Hosted by four different churches 

The Inn (Operation Sharing) emergency shelter operating at Avondale United Church

  • Daily
  • Take-out meals (November 1 - April 30)

 

St. Paul's United Church

  • Coffee & drinks will be available at 10:30 a.m.
  • Meal starts at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

 

St. Mary's Catholic Church (basement)

  • Second Monday of the month (until April)
  • Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
  • Dinner served at 5:00 p.m.
