Annandale: A house inspired by Oscar Wilde

Annandale House was built in the 1880s by Edwin Delevan Tillson, the first mayor of Tillsonburg and son of the town's founder, George Tillson.

It was named a National Historic Site in 1997 and is considered one of the best surviving examples of the Aesthetic Art Movement in Canada. It is the largest item in the museum's collection .

The Pratt Gallery showcases the work of local artists as well as items from the museum's collection.

A Marvel Farm: Annandale’s Farm

This interactive exhibition marks the 145th anniversary of Annandale Farm. Guests will learn the story of Annandale's historic 600 acre farm, and how  E.D. Tillson's operation was at the cutting edge of agricultural technology at the time.

Tillsonburg's British Home Children

This exhibition which highlights some of the stories of the British Home Children sent to the Tillsonburg area between 1860 - 1940 to work as indentured labourers on farms, and in households.

How Great Cow Art: Fields of Inspiration 

Celebrate the beauty and heritage of rural life through the eyes of artists. Fields of Inspiration highlights works from Annandale’s art collection that highlight the landscapes, labour, and spirit of farming. From golden fields to hardworking hands, this exhibition pays tribute to the agricultural roots that shaped our community. 

On exhibition: September 20 - October 25, 2026 

The exhibition opening will take place on Sunday, September 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with admission by donation and light refreshments served.

Oh Kitschmas Tree! A Celebration of the Kitschy Christmas 

Step back into the sparkle and nostalgia of a mid-century Christmas! This playful exhibition celebrates the delightfully kitschy side of the holidays handmade and homemade ornaments and retro décor help to capture the joy, humor, and charm of Christmas past.  

On exhibition:  November 27, 2026 - January 3, 2027

The exhibition opening, part of the Christmas Open House, will take place on Friday, November 27, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with admission by donation and light refreshments served.
