Flags at Town of Tillsonburg facilities are being lowered to half mast today in recognition of the passing of Matthew Scholtz, former chief librarian at the Tillsonburg Public Library. Scholtz gave leadership to the library for 40 years (1970 - 2010) and was an active community volunteer.

Unopened Right-of-Way, described as parts of Part 8, Plan 41R-940, and portions of a 1 foot reserve described as parts of Block 45, Plan 41M-232, south of Wood Haven Drive, as surplus to the needs of the Town at the June 26, 2023 Council Meeting and the Town is hereby providing notice of its intent to sell the same property to an adjacent property owner.

Broadway will be closed on June 17 for Turtlefest celebrations, including the Downtown Block Party. The closure will begin at 6:30 a.m. and a detour will be in effect until approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 18.

The Town of Tillsonburg has lifted the ban on recreational fires. However, By-Law 3702 remains in effect. Learn more about the rules around recreational and open air fires www.tillsonburg.ca/burning

Tillsonburg residents are currently being targeted by telephone scammers claiming to be the “City of Tillsonburg Water Department.” These calls are fraudulent, and do not come from the Town of Tillsonburg or Oxford County.
