TurtleFest is back for 2026, and Annandale National Historic Site is pleased to invite the community to take part in two days of turtle themed activities, family entertainment, and outdoor fun this June. TurtleFest continues to be a popular annual event, offering opportunities to learn, create, and celebrate wildlife and conservation in an engaging setting.

Friday, June 19 | 6:00 p.m. – Midnight

TurtleFest begins with an evening full of creativity, games, and great food at Annandale NHS.
Activities and highlights include:

• Turtle Rock Painting
• Oversized outdoor games
• Food trucks on site, including Speedy’s Fries, Las Mexicanas, and Suppa Swirls

At dusk, guests are invited to gather on the Museum Lawn for a free outdoor screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. Popcorn will be provided while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for a comfortable movie night experience.

Saturday, June 20 | 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Family friendly activities continue Saturday with a fun and interactive daytime celebration.
Saturday activities include:

• Live turtles
• Carnival games
• Lego Creations, featuring a new turtle inspired pattern for 2026
• Turtle Scavenger Hunt
• Open House at Annandale NHS

TurtleFest 2026 offers something for all ages and interests, combining education, entertainment, and community connection in a unique historic setting. Visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars come out of their shells to celebrate this much anticipated summer event at Annandale National Historic Site.
