Town Flags to be Lowered to Half-Mast in Honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday, September 30, the Every Child Matters flag will be flown at the Tillson Family Parkette, and all Town flags will be lowered to half-mast. Flags will be returned to full mast on Thursday, October 1.
In addition, the Rotary Clock Tower will be illuminated orange from Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities, while encouraging reflection, learning, and meaningful action toward reconciliation.
