Intent to Declare Lands as Surplus

The purpose of this notice is to advise that the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg intends to declare a portion of the municipally owned Tillsonburg Regional Airport property as surplus to the needs of the Town at the April 27, 2026 Council Meeting.

The Subject Property is described as part of Lot 6, Concession 7, Township of Dereham, Municipality of South-West Oxford.

The lands being severed are located at the Northwest corner of the Town-owned Airport property on Prouse Road and are approximately 50 acres in size.  It is the Town’s intention to sever these lands from the overall airport property and sell them to the adjacent farmer who has been leasing these lands since 1993.  To note, these lands are located on the periphery of the Airport property and outside of the designated Airport Operational Zone.

Interested parties will be required to enter into a legal agreement subject to approval by the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg.  This notice is being provided in accordance with the Tillsonburg Land Disposition Bylaw 2021-031 and Section 270 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

Members of the public are asked to bring forward any questions or concerns prior to or at the April 27, 2026 Council Meeting.

Please see Public Notice for full details, including a map of the subject property.
