Introducing “By Law Briefs”
The Town is introducing a new public education series: By‑Law Briefs.
This new initiative is designed to share simple, easy‑to‑understand reminders from various Town by‑laws. Throughout the year, the Town will release short “briefs” to help residents better understand local rules and how to navigate shared spaces safely, respectfully, and in accordance with Town regulations.
The first edition of By‑Law Briefs will focus on Parks. As warmer weather approaches and more residents head outdoors, this edition will provide helpful reminders from the Parks By‑Law to support safe, respectful, and enjoyable use of Tillsonburg’s parks during the spring and summer months.
The series will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Pets and leash requirements
- Pathway etiquette
- Waste disposal
- Fire and fireworks rules
- Event permits
- Protecting natural spaces
- And more
Each post will offer a helpful reminder about everyday park etiquette and the by-laws that support a safe, enjoyable environment for all residents. The goal is to increase awareness, support responsible park use, and ensure that everyone has the knowledge they need to make the most of Tillsonburg’s outdoor spaces.
