As part of the Town's 2026 Asphalt Maintenance Program, the Town of Tillsonburg has retained Dufferin Construction to complete road improvements on Hardy Avenue, from the Community Centre access road to Sanders Street. The project will include milling and resurfacing to help extend the life of the roadway and improve driving conditions. 

Construction Schedule: 

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of November 9, 2026, and is expected to be completed by November 27, 2026, weather permitting.  

Residents directly affected by the work will receive advance notice regarding any temporary access restrictions.  

Traffic and Access: 

During construction, portions of Hardy Avenue within the work area will be closed to public traffic. The Community Centre access intersection will be repaved as part of the project but will remain open throughout construction. Public parking areas will remain accessible; however, vehicle access to the Lions Den entrance and South Pool entrance will not be available during the road closure. 

Access to private properties within the construction limits will be maintained. Temporary driveway restrictions may occur during paving operations, and all non-local traffic will be directed to follow posted detour routes. 

Construction Impacts and Contact Information: 

Residents and visitors to the area may experience temporary traffic disruptions, noise, dust, and construction activity while work is underway. We encourage everyone to use caution around construction zones and follow all posted signage.
