PUBLIC NOTICE
Intent to declare surplus: Portion of Hale Street Right-of-Way
The Subject Property is described as the portion of Hale Street between Bidwell Street and Raccoon Alley and legally described on Judge’s Plan 500.
The purpose of this notice is to advise that the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg intends to declare a portion of the municipally owned Hale Street Right-of-Way, previously closed by Bylaw 2082, as surplus to the needs of the Town at the October 14, 2025 Council Meeting.
The Subject Property is described as the portion of Hale Street between Bidwell Street and Raccoon Alley and legally described on Judge’s Plan 500.
The Hale Street lands are approximately 51 metres (167 feet) long and 14 metres (46 feet) wide and approximately 7,700 square feet in size. A number of municipal and utility services are located within these lands and easements will be required to be reserved to protect the ongoing location and use of these services.
Interested parties will be required to enter into a legal agreement subject to approval by the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg. This notice is being provided in accordance with the Tillsonburg Land Disposition Bylaw 2021-031 and Section 270 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001.
Members of the public are asked to bring forward any questions or concerns prior to or at the Tuesday, October 14, 2025 Council Meeting.

If declared surplus by Town Council, the deadline for registering interest or any concerns with respect to the proposed sale of this property is 2 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025
