In recognition of British Home Child Day, the Rotary Clock Tower will be illuminated yellow from Friday, September 25, 2026, through Monday, September 28, 2026.  

The Town of Tillsonburg wishes to advise residents that invasive plant control treatments will be taking place at two local wetland areas as part of an ongoing environmental restoration project.

With back-to-school season underway, the Town of Tillsonburg is reminding residents to stay alert and use designated crosswalks safely as more children, families, and pedestrians travel throughout the community.

The Town of Tillsonburg, Annandale National Historic Site, and Oxford County Archives are recognizing the legacy of British Home Children through a special exhibition, online archive, and Rotary Clock Tower illumination in honour of British Home Child Day on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Flushing will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily. Residents in the maintenance area may experience low pressure and discoloured water while flushing is in progress. Residents should avoid doing laundry while flushing is happening as discoloured water may transfer to clothes and bedding. In the event your water is discoloured, open a cold water tap in your home for 5-10 minutes until the line is clear. If discolouring persists after 24 hours, contact Customer Service at 519-688-3009.

The Town of Tillsonburg is reminding residents that electric kick-style scooters (e-scooters) are currently not permitted for use on municipal roads, sidewalks, trails, parks, or other public property within the community. An e-scooter is defined by the Province of Ontario as a vehicle with two wheels, a platform to stand on, handlebars for steering, and an electric motor of up to 500 watts capable of a maximum speed of 24 km/h on a level surface.

At approximately 6:50 a.m. this morning, fire crews were dispatched to reports of a structure fire in the area of Broadway Street and Concession Street East. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke and flames showing from the upper second storey of the structure. Crews quickly initiated fire suppression operations and worked to contain the fire while conducting searches and protecting surrounding properties.

The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg advises that the tax sale scheduled for August 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. for the property located at 44 Jackson Court has been postponed to November 11, 2026.
