Corporate Office Relocation and Council Chambers Update

Effective September 22, the Town of Tillsonburg’s corporate office at 200 Broadway will be permanently closed, and staff relocated to other facilities. All public inquiries, mail, invoices and payments should be directed to the Customer Service Centre at 10 Lisgar Ave. Please update your records accordingly. For assistance by phone, please continue to contact 519-688-3009.

Tillsonburg Town Council meetings will be held at Long Point Region Conservation Authority boardroom (4 Elm Street). The first Regular Council meeting at this location will take place on September 25.

Water System Maintenance

August 23-October 15
Sanitary sewer flushing will occur in areas south of Concession Street West and west of Rolph Street. Affected neighbourhoods include Baldwin Place, Bridle Path, Edgewood Dr., Hickory Hills, Reynolds Way, Trottier, Victoria Wood, Westmount, Whispering Pines and Woodhaven.

The work will be performed on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. High traffic areas may be flushed after 7:00 p.m. to ensure safety for contractors and residents.

During this work, a bubbling and/or vacuum effect may be noticed in your drains and/or toilets. If you notice this occurring, close all toilet seats and cover any floor drains during the flushing period.

Residents may notice temporary cloudy or discoloured water when watermain flushing occurs. You can help clear your line by simply turning on the cold water.

Notice of Surplus Land

The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg intends to declare a portion of the open but unimproved Road Allowance lands located at the East end of the Coyle Lane Right-of-Way as surplus to the needs of the Town at the September 25, 2023 Council Meeting. The Subject Property is described as an Alley East of Tillson Ave and South of Lot 266 on Plan 500.

Interested parties will be required to enter into a legal agreement subject to approval by the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg. This notice is being provided in accordance with the Tillsonburg Land Disposition Bylaw 2021-031 and Section 270 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

Members of the public are asked to bring forward any questions or concerns prior to the September 25, 2023 Council Meeting.
