Important: Canada Post Strike Could Impact Your Bills and Payments
During any postal disruption, bills and invoices from the Town of Tillsonburg will continue to be issued, and payment due dates will remain unchanged.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are on strike, which may delay mail delivery. You remain responsible for paying Town of Tillsonburg bills on time, as due dates remain unchanged.
Recommended Actions:
- Sign up for e-billing for faster, reliable delivery and email reminders when your bill is ready.
- Use alternative payment methods if you normally pay by mail to avoid late fees or service interruptions.
Upcoming Due Date: Final property taxes are due October 31.
Payment Options (E-Billing Recommended):
We strongly encourage e-billing, which delivers your bills directly to your email. E-billing ensures you receive your bills without delay, allows you to pay on time—and reduces the risk of late fees or service interruptions.
Tax Payment Options:
- Online or Telephone Banking: Pay directly from your bank account.
- Pre-Authorized Payment Plan: Automatic withdrawals for convenience, spread out over 10 months instead of quarterly payments.
- In-Person Payments: Pay at your bank or at the Customer Service Centre.
- Drop Box: Cheques can be dropped off at the Customer Service Centre (10 Lisgar Ave)
