Accessibility Training for Municipal Employees & Volunteers

To comply with the requirements of Ontario's Accessibility laws, including that of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), municipalities are required to provide training in regards to the provision of its goods or services to persons with disabilities to employees and volunteers who work with members of the public and/or participate in developing policies, practices and procedures which govern the provision of goods and services to the public.

Training shall focus on the requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standard Regulations and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it pertains to persons with disabilities.

A copy of the Accessibility Training Material is available on-line for viewing by municipal employees, volunteers of the organization and the public.
