Tillsonburg offers its residents year-round large item disposal at the Tillsonburg Transfer Station (50 Newell Road). The facility also offers a yard waste depot available to all Oxford County residents.

Open Monday to Saturday

9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (April to September)

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM  (October to March)


Facility Layout

The traffic pattern through the Transfer Station has been changed to maximize safety and efficiency. Please review the Facility Layout Map for details on how to prepare your load to avoid unnecessary delays.

 *A $25.00 fee will be charged for the disposal of large loads consisting primarily of Construction & Demolition Material. A large load is defined as a load of materials exceeding 2 cubic yards (1.5 cubic metres) or 300 pounds (136 kgs).

Facility Rules

  • Proof of Residency required
  • Bagged items are not permitted
  • Unsafe loads will be rejected
  • Loads consisting primarily of renovation material will be charged a $25.00 fee (Effective Jan 1, 2018)
  • Attendant's decision shall be final
  • Unloading is the responsibility of the user
  • Speed limits must be obeyed
  • Scavenging is not permitted
  • Use at your own risk
  • Not responsible for vehicle damage
