Tillsonburg has three indoor ice surfaces--two large rinks and a practice mini rink. There is also an outdoor recreational pad that offers skating in the winter months. To learn more about ice programs and schedules, see the Recreation Guide.

Kinsmen Memorial Arena

Built in 1949, Kinsmen Memorial Arena features a distinctive Hipel Truss roof design. In 2004, the facility was renovated with new seats, dressing rooms and an ice extension.

Facility highlights:

  • NHL sized ice surface (200' x 85')
  • Spectator seating for 700
  • Heated viewing area
  • Snack bar and lounge
Colin Campbell Community Arena

Built in 1977, Tillsonburg's second arena honours former NHL player and coach Colin Campbell. In 2011, Campbell's son Gregory won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins.

Facility highlights:

  • Ice surface (180' x 80')
  • Heated viewing area
  • 9 dressing rooms
Mini Practice Rink

Added to the Community Centre in 2004, the mini practice rink is ideal for skating development, goalie practice and improving shooting accuracy.

Facility highlights:

  • Ice surface (20' x 35')
  • Open year round
  • Complements twin arenas on site
Outdoor Rink - J.L. Scott McLean Outdoor Recreation Pad

Opened in 2019, the new 60' x 120' outdoor recreational facility was built by J.L. Scott McLean Legacy Fund and donated to the Town of Tillsonburg.

  • Surface 60' x 120'
  • Open year round: Skating in winter and Basketball in warm weather

*Red flags will indicate that the rink is closed for maintenance or has unsafe ice conditions. If the red flag is flying, please remain off the ice until the flag has been removed.

3:30 PM - 5:30 PM - Stick & Puck/Ring Ages 14+

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Stick & Puck/Ring Ages 13 and under

7:30 PM - 11:00 PM - Open Stick & Puck/Ring

1:00 PM - 8:00 AM - Rink Closed

 Rink Rules
 

For the enjoyment and of all participants, please respect the following guidelines. The Town of Tillsonburg reserves the right to refuse service to anyone found in violation of these guidelines

  • Use this ice rink at your own risk
  • This is an unsupervised skating rink, there is no staff supervision at any time
  • Do not use the facility when red flags indicate that recreation pad is closed
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited
  • All skaters must skate in the same direction
  • CSA-approved helmets and protective equipment are strongly recommended
  • All persons on the ice must wear skates
  • Profanity and abusive language are not permitted
  • Sticks and pucks/rings are not allowed during Open Skating and Family Skating
  • Skate guards are strongly recommended for off ice

 

The following is prohibited from ice surface:

  • Smoking and vaping
  • Boots and shoes
  • Food and drink
  • Cell phones and electronic devices
  • Animals
  • Chairs and strollers
  • Carrying children while on ice
  • Body contact or checking
  • Speed or advanced figure skating
  • Slap shots
