The Town of Tillsonburg is moving ahead on Monday with the scheduled replacement of the giant twister waterslide at Lake Lisgar Waterpark. The $400,000 capital project, approved in the Town’s 2020 Budget, will see the existing slide demolished, and a new one installed prior to the start of the season.

The Government of Ontario is providing temporary 45-day emergency relief to support Ontarians impacted by the global COVID-19 outbreak. As of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, households, farms and small businesses who pay time-of-use electricity rates will be charged off-peak rates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Electricity charges for March 24, 2020 and later (for 45 days) will be billed at an “Off-Peak” price of 10.1 cents / kWh.

Tillsonburg closes additional facilities due to COVID-19 risk


The Town of Tillsonburg is continuing to take action in response to the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Canada.


In an effort to protect the community, the Town is closing the Tillsonburg Community Centre, effective midnight tonight. Increased cleaning and social distancing measures will be implemented at all remaining Town-owned facilities.

In an effort to protect the community, the Town is limiting access to some facilities, and is encouraging a variety of social distancing measures.
