Effective immediately, the J.L. Scott McLean Outdoor Recreation Pad will offer open skating only. No sticks, pucks or rings will be allowed for the foreseeable future. This change is being made to avoid crowding and limit the potential transmission of COVID-19. All users are reminded to stay a minimum of 2 metres away from anyone who does not live in their immediate household.

Oxford County recently installed new pedestrian crossovers to improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists on our roadways. The new pedestrian crossovers are in the following locations.

The Town's Traffic Bylaw prohibits overnight parking on all streets from November 15 - March 31, between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. This allows snowplow operators to safely and efficiently remove snow from local roadways.

Remember too, that according to the Highway Traffic Act and the Snow and Ice Removal Bylaw, residents may not deposit snow onto the roadway or sidewalk. When clearing snow, pile it on your property--not onto the sidewalk, road or across the road.

Sanitary sewer flushing will begin October 19 in  the Town of Tillsonburg. 

Affected areas include the downtown core, Annandale Heights, Riverdale and Potters Gate subdivisions as well as areas near Simcoe Street, Vienna Road and John Pound Road. A map showing the flush area can be found using the link below.

Most of the work will be completed Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. However, some high traffic areas will be flushed after 7:00 PM to avoid congestion...

(Friday, August 28, 2020) Tillsonburg residents are advised that asphalt crack sealing work is postponed today due to rain and wet streets. Crack sealing will continue and finish on Monday, August 31, subject to weather.

Crack sealing is the practice of routing and sealing cracks and joints in the pavement with a hot-poured rubberized sealing compound. Joints or cracks in pavement, if not sealed properly, will allow water, dirt and other foreign materials to enter. As...
