From September 2020 to June 2021, the municipalities of Oxford County engaged in an initiative, mandated by the Province of Ontario, to develop a Community Safety & Well-Being Plan for municipalities across Oxford. The Fall Watermain Flushing Program is continuing, targeting watermain dead ends and cul-de-sacs in the following areas:

  • All areas north of Concession Street  (October 18-22)
  • All areas south of Concession Street (October 25-29)

Flushing will begin each morning at 8:00 a.m.  and conclude by 3:00 p.m.

On October 6, Southwestern Public Health announced additional proof of vaccination requirements for recreational facilities that host organized sports.

Beginning October 31, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and identity will be required for anyone 12 years of age and older who enters an indoor area of a sports or recreational fitness facility to participate in, coach, officiate, or watch organized sport.
