Oxford County is gearing up for the development of a county-wide Cycling Master Plan. The plan will build on work that is already taking place to promote commuting by bicycle, connect roadway cycling routes to off-road trail networks, and enhance tourism opportunities.

The pool at Lake Lisgar Waterpark will open for one-hour all ages swims beginning Saturday, July 11.

“We’re excited about opening and have been working hard to ensure that all the necessary COVID-19 prevention protocols will be in place,” says Julie Dawley, Town of Tillsonburg aquatics supervisor and current president of the Lifesaving Society of Ontario.

The Town of Tillsonburg is moving ahead on Monday with the scheduled replacement of the giant twister waterslide at Lake Lisgar Waterpark. The $400,000 capital project, approved in the Town’s 2020 Budget, will see the existing slide demolished, and a new one installed prior to the start of the season.

Tillsonburg closes additional facilities due to COVID-19 risk


The Town of Tillsonburg is continuing to take action in response to the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Canada.


In an effort to protect the community, the Town is closing the Tillsonburg Community Centre, effective midnight tonight. Increased cleaning and social distancing measures will be implemented at all remaining Town-owned facilities.
