The precautionary boil water advisory for Tanager Drive and Falcon Road that was issued following yesterday's watermain break has been lifted and is no longer in effect. All necessary repairs have been made. The County of Oxford and Town of Tillsonburg thank residents for their patience.

Oxford County and the Town of Tillsonburg are advising residents of a water main break on May 5 affecting 12 homes on Tanager Drive and Falcon Road in Tillsonburg. Affected homes have received hand-delivered notices advising residents to boil water as a precaution until repairs are completed. 

The County and Town are working to complete repair of the water main as quickly as possible. Customers in the area may be without water during the repair. Please watch for further updates...

Hydro One has a planned hydro outage that will impact the Town of Tillsonburg and all Tillsonburg Hydro customers. 

Please note that hydro service will be interrupted in Tillsonburg as follows:

  • March 21—5:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. (EDT)

This outage is required to allow equipment upgrades to be made.

  • March 21— 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. EDT
  • April 10 — 3:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. EDT

The Government of Ontario is providing temporary 45-day emergency relief to support Ontarians impacted by the global COVID-19 outbreak. As of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, households, farms and small businesses who pay time-of-use electricity rates will be charged off-peak rates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Electricity charges for March 24, 2020 and later (for 45 days) will be billed at an “Off-Peak” price of 10.1 cents / kWh.
