Mayor to issue daily COVID-19 bulletin

Posted on Thursday March 26, 2020

As the Town of Tillsonburg continues to respond to the spread of COVID-19 in Ontario, Mayor Stephen Molnar announced today that he will be posting daily COVID-19 bulletins on the Town’s website (www.tillsonburg.ca/cvu).

“In this time of crisis, regular communication with residents, businesses and community stakeholders is critical,” says Molnar. “This is a very fluid situation. Delivering concise, accurate information about what’s happening locally is essential.”

The bulletins will be issued once a day, and will take a digest format—briefly highlighting changes in service levels at Town facilities, and sharing information and resources from other community partners.

“There’s a lot of misinformation out there and people are understandably anxious,” says Molnar. “I want to assure our community that Council and staff are working hard to find creative ways to meet the economic and social challenges arising from COVID-19 and will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months.”

Mayor Molnar also announced a new covid19@tillsonburg.ca email address.

“If people have questions they need answered related to COVID-19, or the Town’s response to this pandemic, I want to encourage them to contact us via e-mail and we’ll do our best to assist them.”
