Crossing Guard Appreciation Day - March 23

Have you heard? It's School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day in Ontario on March 23, 2022. The Town of Tillsonburg invites you to make your local crossing guard's day with a thank you card acknowledging the important service they provide. A printable card is available for download below. 

You can also support your local School Crossing Guards by remembering the GUARD acronym.

o Guard signals you to stop; all cyclists and drivers must stop

o Understand and follow the posted speed limits, especially in school zones

o Always check before turning at intersections

o Remain stopped until all pedestrians and guard have cleared the crossing. It is the Law.

o Do not drop kids off in NO Stopping and NO parking zones
