Town to be represented at Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) Conference

Posted on Monday February 22, 2021

The Town of Tillsonburg will have the opportunity to meet with Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney as part of the 2021 Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) Conference (February 22-25).

Typically held in Toronto, this year’s conference will be hosted online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Speakers at the event will include Ontario Premier Doug Ford, the leaders of Ontario’s Liberal, NDP and Green parties, as well as 81 other industry leaders and government officials.

Tillsonburg will be represented at the event by Mayor Stephen Molnar, CAO Kyle Pratt, Director of Operations Carlos Reyes, and Manager of Public Works Dan Locke.

“We will be discussing opportunities for participation in the Southwestern Ontario Master Transportation Plan, as well as talking about opportunities to integrate regional transit systems,” says Mayor Stephen Molnar.

“This conference is an important opportunity for us to forge strong, positive working relationships with upper levels of government and learn from our peers in other municipalities,” says Pratt.

OGRA is the oldest road association in Ontario and is a leader in municipal affairs, infrastructure, training and education, advocacy, and asset management. The annual February conference offers technical seminars and networking opportunities for those in both the public and private sectors.
