Proposed Norwich to Tillsonburg Trail

Posted on Tuesday October 22, 2019

Oxford County will be hosting a public meeting regarding the development of a multi-use recreational trail along the former railway corridor extending from Norwich to Tillsonburg.

An upcoming public meeting will outline the proposed plans to establish a trail partnership with the Oxford County Trails Council, the Township of Norwich, and a local community group for the development of approximately 15 kilometres of off-road trail between Norwich and Tillsonburg.

The proposed trail will provide an off-road active transportation route from Norwich to Tillsonburg providing further connectivity to the Trans Canada Trail, the local trail network within Tillsonburg and on-road cycling routes.

Oxford County is seeking the public’s input on developing a trail that meets the community’s needs for generations to come. Your chance to provide input and ask questions is coming up in November.

The public meeting will be held in Norwich. A brief presentation will be made outlining the project, followed by a question and answer period.
