COVID-19 Update

A stay at home order continues to be in effect for communities in the Southwestern Public Health region, including Tillsonburg. Everyone must remain at home except for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise or for essential work. The Town of Tillsonburg is continuing to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. As COVID-19 is an ever-changing situation, the most current information will be shared online at www.tillsonburg.ca/cvu

2021 Dog and Cat Licences

Please be advised that all dogs and cats in the Town of Tillsonburg are required to be licensed annually. 2021 Animal Licences are available now for purchase at tillsonburg.docupet. com.

Buy your licence before February 28 and save up to $20! Failure to buy a licence will result in a $105 fine.

After February 28 — $37.00

 

Dog (Intact)

After February 28 — $42.00

 

Cat (Spayed/Neutered)

Public Meeting - Development Charges By-Law

On Monday, February 22, 2021, Tillsonburg Town Council will hold an electronic public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

Time:  6:00 p.m.

 

Due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, physical attendance in Council Chambers will not be permitted. Proceedings will be web-streamed. Interim Tax Payment

The first Town of Tillsonburg 2021 interim property tax payment is due on February 25, 2021. 

Penalty and interest are charged at 1.25% monthly (15% per annum), applied the day after an instalment is due and also applied the first business day of each month on all past due balances.

Late payment charges are set in accordance with current legislation and cannot be waived. If payment in full is not received by the instalment due date, a property tax arrears notice will be issued. Failure to receive a bill does not excuse the home owner from payment responsibility.
