Attention Pet Owners
With the arrival of warmer weather, the Town of Tillsonburg reminds pet owners that it is your responsibility to pick up after your pets and dispose of waste properly. Failing to pick up after your pet can lead to a $150.00 fine under By-Law 3507.
Also, remember that pets are not allowed to run at large. Pets must stay on their own property and be leashed when out in public at all times. The only exception is if the property owner has given permission for the pet to be on their property. Want to let Fido run free? Visit the Dave Johnson Memorial Dog Park near the Community Centre. The Animal Control Bylaw also requires that all dogs in Tillsonburg be licensed annually. A licence allows Animal Control to identify your pet, get in touch with you, and make decisions that are in the best interest of your pet should it become lost or injured.
Pet licensing in Tillsonburg is managed by DocuPet Inc.
