RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR COLUMBARIA 1. General Rules All general rules of the Tillsonburg Cemetery shall apply to the Columbaria, as far as the nature of the situation permits. 2. Placement of Floral TributesExcept at the time inurnment and on Decoration Day, no floral tributes will be permitted. However, floral tributes will be allowed in bud vases approved by the Tillsonburg Cemetery and that are attached to the columbarium niche. 3. Trees and PlantingAll landscaping will be completed by the Tillsonburg Cemetery 4. Urns and ReceptaclesThe Tillsonburg Cemetery reserves the right to limit the number, size and shape of receptacles being used. 5. InurnmentsA Burial Permit issued by the Divisional Registrar, showing the death has been property registered, or a Certificate of Cremation issued by the Crematorium shall accompany all cremated remains that are to be placed in the niche. 6. Opening and Closing of NicheThe Superintendent or his designate shall be in attendance at all inurnments and they shall be responsible for the opening and closing of the niche. 7. Inurnment Fee a) Persons ordering an inurnment shall be held responsible for all charges incurred. b) The inurnment fee shall be at a rate as specified in the Tariff of Rates and shall include the opening and closing of the niche. 8. Time of InurnmentAn inurnment shall not take place later than 4:00pm, Monday to Friday and not later than 4:00pm on Saturday, for which a surcharge will be in effect. 9. DisurnmentsNo disinurnment will take place without the written authorization of the niche owner of his or her legal representative. 10. PlaquesTo maintain uniformity of the columbarium, only the plaque included in the purchase of the niche will be permitted. 11. Pictures Pictures will not be allowed on any plaque. 12. Lower AnimalsThe cremated remains of the lower animals will not be allowed to be placed in any niche. 13. RepairsThe Tillsonburg Cemetery shall keep the columbaria in good repair at all time, but shall not be required to rebuild the columbaria in the case of destruction due to war or insurrection.
