   Annandale NHS offers fun, educational opportunities for all ages. Tour all three floors of the restored Victorian home, and marvel at its Aesthetic Movement decor featuring local birds, plants and animals. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn, or drink in the scents and colours of our beautiful gardens. Embrace local history through the various displays situated throughout the home, or stroll through our exhibit gallery, which features new displays several times a year.
   Currently on display in our temporary gallery is Above & Beyond, an exhibit of British military medals on loan from a private collector. This fascinating exhibit will be on display until June 6, and is not to be missed!

  • June 6 - Join the Tillsonburg Military History Club in our second-floor program room for a Military Artifact Identification Day. Bring your own artifacts or come see what others have to share!
  • June 13 - August 27  - Voices of the Town - A History of Vaudeville in Canada. This travelling exhibit, on loan from the Peterborough Museum & Archives is being graciously sponsored by the Tillsonburg District Historical Society.
  • July 1 - Join us for a Canada Day Open House and Fun Fair on the front lawn. Enjoy games, quizzes, children's activities, free cake and much more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesdays OR Thursdays, July and August - Children ages five to eight can join us for Time Travelling Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2010. On either Tuesday OR Thursday of each week, enjoy games, crafts, activities, and snacks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meet new friends and learn a little something too! Advance registration only, please.   • July 21, 22 - Join us for an old-fashioned Vaudeville Show on the fornt lawn. See your friends, family members and neighbours singing, dancing and more! Reserve tickets by calling 842-2294.
  • September 17 - October 31 - Annandale  NHS is pleased to be partnering with the Station Arts Centre and local artists for Cloth and Paint, Needle & Brush, a dual-site exhibit featuring historic quilts and the art pieces they've inspired. Opening night is Sept. 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • October 29 - Join Annandale volunteer Murray Gillespie on a whiskey tour of Scotland. Sample a variety of Scotch whiskeys and learn about their regional differences. Reserve your tickets now by calling 842-2294.
  • November 26 - The festive season officially gets underway at Annandale NHS. Join us from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the opening of "Dear Santa, Please Bring Me," an exhibit of toys through the ages. Also, be sure to visit our second floor program room for a chance to win one of our handmade wreaths or themed stockings during our annual holiday penny sale. Tickets available at the site.
  • As part of the Down Home Country Christmas weekend (Nov. 26 - 28), the museum will be open extended hours. Call for details. "Dear Santa, Please Bring Me" will be on display until January 11, 2011.
