Water System Maintenance

The Town of Tillsonburg will be conducting water system maintenance as follows:

April 2 - May 1
Areas west of Broadway, between North Street and Baldwin Street

Residents may notice discoloured water when flushing occurs. You can clear your line by turning on the cold water. For more details, visit www.tillsonburg.ca/water

 

Notice of Public Meeting: Development Charges By-Law and Background Study 

On Monday, May 27, 2024 the Council of the municipality of Tillsonburg will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and background study. 

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-law and background study.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study was made available online at www.tillsonburg.ca/dc on April 12, 2024. Copies of the proposed D.C. by-law and the background study are also being made available as of May 6, 2024 from the municipal Clerk via the Customer Service Centre at the 10 Lisgar Ave (519-688-3009).

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the municipal Clerk, prior to May 20, 2024. Comments may also be provided through an online survey.


Water Conservation Program

Oxford County’s Water Conservation Program begins May 1. Even numbered addresses may water on even numbered calendar days. Odd numbered addresses may water on odd numbered calendar days.

Residential:

6:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Commercial:

8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Transportation Master Plan and Survey

The Town of Tillsonburg has retained Paradigm Transportation Solutions Limited to develop the Town of Tillsonburg’s first Transportation Master Plan (TMP).

Tillsonburg’s first Transportation Master Plan will:

  • Guide transportation investment decisions over the next 10 years and beyond

  • Recommend ways to optimize the performance of existing infrastructure

  • Consider sustainability and be accompanied by a phasing plan tied to growth, affordability and community priorities

Citizens are invited to provide input on the Transportation Master Plan by completing a short online survey. The survey addresses how residents travel in Tillsonburg and asks for ideas on how to improve our transportation network. Learn more at www.tillsonburg.ca/tmp2024

Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Jeff Bes, Lloyd Andrews and Dan Sanders will be inducted into the Tillsonburg Sports Hall of Fame at the Tillsonburg Community Centre on May 6. Members of the public are invited to purchase tickets ($45/each) for this event by contacting rturrill@tillsonburg.ca.

 
High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD)

This training program equips people working with children (ages 4 to 12 years) to enhance the quality of their programs. Learn techniques to ensure each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs are met. Registration closes one week before the course starts.
